WhyThe resurrection of labels

Spread and unite in Scandinavia.
Self-Inflicted Records first goal is to establish a respective name in Scandinavia. This will be our main base to start of with and we will be able to promote our signed artists from here and to the rest of the world.

Britt and Bill
We believe the future of indie-labels and follow the digital revolution. More and more bands will need their name distributed instead of sold. Music will be downloaded and played - the marked for hard copies is left to the porn industry – ironically, though, both too slow and demanding for a quick listen. We will go on with selling CDs from the site – but only press the amounts of copies that will actually be sold and have a demand for. This allows us to sign great bands that haven’t got a Britney effect on the Billboard market but still rock the concert venues.

Play that funky internet, silly boy.
Online/DAB radios play music 24/7 and holds a market for any genre out there. Anyone can get played. As a label, we will gain more and more respect and contacts in the industry and via these be able to get listed and played here. It requires the most work in the beginning but the organization will in the end allow us to present interesting new-comers and get on-air. The artists will own the rights to their songs and will via KODA and the like receive their payment for each listening.
We will work out a plan for each individual artist and see what is needed and wished for in each specific context. Some artists like to sell via downloads, CDs, LPs, DVDs etc. and others like to hand out their music for free as a fast promoting way to get to people Ipods and ears.

The future is never later.
The market is still new but thankfully growing fast! Places such last.fm & Rhapsody will receive more listeners and hits = more air-time, and we believe that banner-space will be one of many economical focus-points in the future, but unfortunately for new unsigned artists also requires founding from labels and such. Founding that we and other labels will have for those who are signed. It will be a great way to promote bands to have them showed and played only one click away.
So, revolution action!
